WELCOME

The 32nd Glasgow (1st Kirkintilloch) Scout Group currently has over 80 youth members between the ages of 6 -18 years.

Scouting is a voluntary organisation and is open to boys & girls, regardless of race, religion, disability or social status and this is reflected in a global membership of over 28 million people.

In Kirkintilloch, we can offer members the opportunity to progress from their earliest years, through to getting involved as adult volunteers. We are governed by the Scout Association rules and policies and the programme is progressive throughout a members time within the organisation.

For the youngest Beaver (6-8) it's all about fun and friendship.
For Cubs (8-10) it's teamwork, exploring and learning new skills.
For Scouts (10-14) challenge and adventure and for Explorer Scouts (14 -18 yrs) it's about service, community and Expeditions.

The motto 'Be Prepared' is still as relevant today as it was 100 years ago when Scouting started and we hope to give members the right start and prepare them for the journey ahead.
