Further to the recent earthquake disaster in Haiti, Scouts from the 32nd, joined the 45th (Kirkintilloch) & 12th (Lenzie) in a fundraising day for the 'Shelterbox' charity.
The bag packing event at Sainsbury's took part on Sunday 24th January and in total the Groups raised a fantastic £1,800 for the disaster relief charity.
Shelterbox provides emergency 'boxes' which contain survival material for up to 10 people for a period of 6 months. The box includes a tent, stove, pots, waterproof ponchos, groundsheets, mosquito nets and other esssential items.
Over 50 youth members helped raise enough money to supply 4 of these life giving boxes and we congratulate them for all their effort. Well Done All.
